attacked by monkeys!

Hello friends and family!

Africa is amazing. The air, the people, the singing, the food, the ministry... and of course our Lord!
The trip started out pretty hard for me. Woke up the first day very sick after getting no sleep on the plane or for the first night. BUT God has heard your prayers and ours as well... it was a sad way to start the week, but God is good and everything has been amazing from there. I feel wonderful and continue to see the power of God flowing through this amazing team of brothers and sisters. It's been humbling to get to know the people of Kahawa Sukari, they have stuck by our side and have been so patient every second of the way!!

We went to the park before our basketball camp yesterday and gave food to the monkys. They seemed shy at first but it wasn't long before they were jumping all over our backs and necks.... it was a great time! :) :)

Mom and Dad thank you so much for the comments and to the rest of our family, friends and my sweet grow group girls (Roxy I read your comment, love you!). Your prayers and kind words are SO encouraging!!! LOVE YOU Miss you all... but not in a hurry to get home yet ;)

>>hugs<<

Hi guys,

Praise the Lord!... for the amazing things He is doing over there. God is so good. We will be praying for strength. I know you guys must be tired. Keep doing his will and God will fill you up. We will be praying.

Julius, mom and dad miss you! The house is not the same without you...college can wait. Alyssa is bored out of her mind, without you and Kaylee is counting the days till your return.

May the Lord continue to do His will in your life...and the life of the team. Can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures.

God bless you from the USA.

Monkeys?! Awww, I want a monkey to sit on my shoulder as I go on about my daily tasks. Hmmm. Did anyone kick you in the back of the knees for me? It's a serious request... love you!

I was at Brookfield zoo today with the boys looking at baboons from Kenya. I'm sure the monkeys jumping on you must have been of a much smaller variety! Every time we saw an African animal we wondered aloud it you guys would get a chance to see one in the wild. We're praying for you throughout the day. Continue to push on with all you have to the very end. I know you must be weary, but can't even begin to imagine all that God is doing through you. Bring on the pictures! Steve, Anisa keeps looking for you... I love you.
